Many people use products and eat foods daily that are more toxic than a waste dump. They even feed them to their kids! Why would people poison themselves every day? Because they have been told lies! Let’s explode some of these harmful myths.

Myth Number One: Sugar is the enemy. While white, refined sugar is a problem, it is not as bad as some of the alternatives. Scientists readily agree that if refined sugar was introduced today, it would be classified as a drug and would require a warning label.  The no-calorie sweeteners were introduced, not to protect us from overuse of this toxic chemical version of sugar, but to save us a whopping 35 calories per teaspoon! How does it provide this caloric savings account? Aspartame, the chemical name for NutraSweet, starts with a horribly toxic chemical, then adds another equally toxic chemical. The two together are not twice as poisonous, but rather they are 100 times more poisonous than each individually. But you will save 35 calories per teaspoonful. Oh, by the way, one side effect is that aspartame lowers your metabolism. So you will gain weight anyway since your thyroid is now damaged. Aspartame is also responsible for many cases of manic depression. This does not sound like a fair trade for a mere 35 calories of savings. In fact, we tell people, eat the sugar! Even refined sugar isn’t nearly as bad as its replacement.

Myth Number One, Part Two: Enter the new sweetener, Splenda. Sure, it starts out as sugar, just as the ad says. Then all of the calories are removed. Do you want to know how? The sugar is filtered through, wait for it, chloride and pesticides to remove the calories! The real crime here is that mothers are encouraged to replace natural sugar with these chemicals for their children! Especially since a Big Gulp contains the equivalent of 3 cups of sugar! Yikes.

Solution: Stevia is 50 times sweeter than sugar, is completely natural and even has nutritional value. It has been blocked for sale as a sweetener in the USA by, you guessed it, the manufacturers of Nutrasweet. Stevia has no glycemic effect on the body and is safe even for diabetics. How do you like that, Mother Nature has thought of everything! Some types of Stevia have a slightly metallic or licorice taste but the correct species is almost indistinguishable from natural sugar.

Myth Number Two: Soy is a healthy alternative protein source. This one will have you rolling in the aisles. First of all, upwards of 80% of all soy grown today is genetically modified! Read: not natural! Secondly, the only situation where soy has been used in large quantities successfully is in monasteries. Why? Because soy decreases libido. Farmers know that they can’t feed soy to their animals because it makes them sterile. What do they do with all that soy the government pays them to grow? They feed it to you! Soy also has estrogen-like qualities. With women struggling against the deleterious effects of estrogen dominance, the last thing they need is soy! And truthfully, men were not meant to have breasts!

Solution: There are plenty of ways to get more protein in your diet! Eat more meat and depression and low energy will be a thing of the past. Collatrim™ is pre-digested protein that is readily available to repair muscles and connective tissue, a big reason to eat more protein. Want a plant source of protein? Super Algae combines four high protein algaes that will keep you going strong all day long.
