Statistics tell us that that soda, french fries, potato chips, hamburgers and chocolate make up 70% of the American Diet. The top 10 selling products in grocery stores are 1-Marlboro cigarettes, 2-Coke Classic, 3-Kraft Macaroni & Cheese, 4-Pepsi, 5-Diet Coke, 6-Budweiser Beer, 7-Campbell’s soup, 8-Tide detergent, 9-Folger’s coffee and 10-Winston cigarettes. Is it any wonder that the health condition of Americans is so awful? There are only two items on that list that even laughingly qualify as foods. The Standard American Diet is indeed S.A.D. It is said that the definition of insanity is doing the same things and expecting different results. If you want to improve your health, you have to make some changes.

When people are starting from such a deficit in nutrition, any single thing they do can make a big difference. Eating real foods is a good start. The less processed the food, the more life it has. The more life it has, the more it will enhance your life. Sounds simple, right? Low carb diets are good because carbs that come from processed grains weigh the body down. Whatever can’t be used immediately for energy is converted into fat and stored. Let’s face it, it is hard to avoid carbs entirely, so when you eat those carbs, at least have some Carbo-Grabbers™ handy to escort them out of the body before they make a new home on your hips!

Aim for higher protein intake. Proteins are the building blocks of skin, muscles, and organs. If you’re not used to lots of protein, make sure you take Food Enzymes so you can digest and make use of that protein. Add Collatrim which is already digested protein to speed muscle building and skin repair. Meats are high in l-Carnitine, the amino acid responsible for muscle tone. Do you know what un-toned muscle is called? FAT! The vegetarian diet is largely missing l-Carnitine completely.

Super Algae is a high protein source for those who do not want to eat that much meat. Just remember, the cultures that have the longest lifespan are not vegetarians. If you are a vegetarian, you need to make use of nuts and algaes to increase your protein intake. Avoid soy which is touted as an alternate protein source but is genetically modified and not meant to be more than a condiment.

Taking a vitamin/mineral supplement like Super Supplemental just makes good sense. With too few nutrients in our foods these days, you’d have to vastly overeat to get close to the nutrient levels we all need. Antioxidants are important to repair the damage cause by poor diet, to say nothing of daily stress. Thai-Go Drink contains some of the most powerful antioxidants known to man, including mangosteen. It is a great tasting juice that makes it easy to drink every day to get off to a good start.

On average, people take 2,000 to 3,000 steps per day. Invest in a pedometer with a step counter to see where you size up. Then set a goal to add 500 steps per day until you reach about 10,000 per day. You’ll improve your cardio-vascular system, decrease your weight, increase your energy level and add a new glow to your skin. And when you go to the grocery store, only walk around the perimeter. Only the processed foods are down the aisles and you don’t need them anyway!
