“The Best Defense is a Good Offense!”

Take positive action now instead of being a victim later. The male anatomy is the focus of a major attack. Many commercial foods are carrying hidden toxins that are dangerous to the male hormonal system. The results are unhealthy weight gain, lowered libido and sexual performance, hair loss and increased hostility. They also make men more subject to prostate problems, tumors and cancers.

The best defense is choosing your foods carefully. Avoid meats from fast food outlets and cheap markets. Avoid all soy products, including soybean oil. Avoid cow dairy products; milk and cheese. If you like cheese, substitute with sheep and goat cheeses, preferably hormone free. All of these “avoid” foods are high in estrogens and xeno-estrogens. (xeno means that it is a synthetic version.)

Estrogen is a female hormone that is given to animals to put weight on them and produce bigger yields. Men don’t need that much estrogen in their system. Statistically, prison inmates, especially violent offenders, produce dramatically higher levels of estrogen. Part of this is genetic abnormalities caused by estrogen high foods provided by the government and commercial food producers.

The best offense is supplementing with Nature’s Sunshine Products herbs and supplements that prevent the absorption of estrogen. Here are products we strongly recommend for daily supplementation. In other words, keep taking them for as long as you want to feel like a healthy man.

Super Algae. This is a no-brainer. It balances blood sugar levels, provides the amino acids that proteins are made from and keeps energy levels high. It pulls out heavy metals, feeds the hormones and is a good overall supplement. 5 to 8 daily before meals keeps you lean.

Sarsaparilla. This “Spring Tonic” provides testosterone-like materials. Testosterone has gotten a bad rap. It’s actually estrogen that makes people aggressive and angry. Testosterone is a socializing hormone, making you feel friendly and confident. When your body is processing enough testosterone it won’t absorb estrogen. Sarsaparilla promotes the development of lean muscle mass & encourages hair growth. 5 capsules daily is about right.

Maca. This South American libido-enhancing herb is good for men and women. It’s also a tremendous adrenal gland tonic that helps you deal better with stress or even adrenal ‘burnout’ where the adrenal glands are so punch-drunk they don’t know which way to swing.

When using Maca for libido and sexual performance, 5 daily is good but increase the capsules as you need to. This is a food. There are no adverse side effects so base it upon results.

TS II with Hops. A major target for estrogen is the thyroid where it gets stuck. Low thyroid used to be a ‘women’s’ challenge, but as hidden hormones in the foods have increased, men are falling prey to this problem. The results are weight gain, hair loss, low energy and poor digestion. Another danger is radiation from televisions, computer screens and other electronics, which slams the thyroid. TS II with Hops feeds the thyroid iodine and helps protect the body from radiation. To stay lean and energetic your whole life, defend your thyroid daily with 5 to 6 capsules early in the day, but start off gradually.

Aloe Vera Gel. Men don’t like using creams and lotions, for a simple reason; hairy arms and legs. For many men, putting clothes on over cream is like being the insides of a peanut butter sandwich. But men have skin that needs to be fed and protected. Even though wrinkles make men look mature and distinguished, remember prunes have wrinkles too! Aloe Vera gel feeds and protects the skin, yet isn’t oily and dries quickly. It’s a desert plant where it protects men’s skin against harsh winds, sandstorms and the blazing sun. So it will protect your skin against gas fumes, swimming pool chlorine and the blazing sun at the beach. Hint: Makes a great hair gel and smeared on after the shower it gets rid of summertime dry, itching skin.

Men’s Formula. This is for any man who has a prostate and would like to continue in that condition. It’s also strengthens the urinary system. It contains concentrated Saw Palmetto, African Pygeum Bark, Stinging Nettle, Lycopene, Gotu Kola and Zinc. If you’re making numerous visits to the bathroom during the night, start off with 6 daily and stay at that amount for at least 6 weeks before reducing the amount to 2 daily. Then keep using that amount for the rest of your life.

Do you need all of these products? How good do you want to feel? The two biggest mistakes people make with herbs is not taking enough and not taking them long enough. The body rebuilds gradually and needs large amounts of the nutrient for three months, plus one month for every year that you’ve had the challenge to completely reverse the problem.

In any case, mount a good offense. Low energy? Use Super Algae. Irritable mood? Sarsaparilla! Low libido? Maca! Your weight is up and your hair is falling out? TS II with Hops! Skin like an alligator? Aloe Vera Gel? How well do you know the way to the bathroom in the dark? Men’s Formula! For good overall health, refer to our Chapter #3 Alkaline to Acid=pH.
