Many people wear eyeglasses or contact lenses these days. Part of the reason is that we just don’t use our eyes as much. Does that sound silly to you? Let’s explain.

Eyes are controlled by muscles that need to be exercised just like all the rest of your muscles. Eyes are designed to look around in all directions… a lot! These days, many of us do not look much past our computer screens, but even if you are not computer bound, when was the last time you viewed a vista? The brick wall outside your apartment window does not count!

Changes in depth and width of vision are one of the easiest forms of exercise for the eyes. Changes in lighting are also important. The contraction and expansion of the pupil is also a form of eye exercise. Try not to wear you sunglasses every minute that you are outdoors. Even short periods without shades can exercise those baby blues (or browns).

The easiest exercise for the eyes is to get outside and do some looking! Look up, down and all around. Stare, gaze, watch, ogle, search, monitor, view, focus, squint, and flit over every scene you encounter. Eye exercises in books just take the place of what you would be doing naturally if your environment was more, well, natural!

Pinpoint glasses worn for a few minutes daily cause the eye muscles to work differently. Practice the stare and blink exercise and go round and round, stretching the eye in every direction of the 360 degree circle they can make. Cupping your eyes with your hands is so restful and lets your eyes recover from strain very quickly. It is best done leaning forward into your hands with your elbows on your knees or desk.

Eyesight really responds to supplements. A major part of the eyeball itself is made up of Lutein. Take extra of this supplement because it is also important for healthy breast tissue. Perfect Eyes® contain some lutein as well as Vitamin A, Zinc, Selenium and herbs like bilberry. We also like extra Bilberry for improving eyesight.

Since eyes are so dense, the only circulation they have is through tiny, fine capillaries. Free radical damage affects vision first because the cells are practically lined up single file. One radical gets out of line and the rest are backed up for miles! High Potency Grapine® is a super antioxidant from grape seed extract and pine bark, hence the name! Its antioxidant properties really help to improve vision dramatically.

Just these four supplements have made a dramatic difference for so many. When vision improves, often a lot of other annoyances are also relieved, like headaches and neck strain to name just two. Would you like to lose a little weight? Throw away your glasses! You’ll feel 10 pounds lighter!
