Out With The Old – In With The Healthy!

When you mention the word cleansing, you get all kinds of reactions from people, don’t you? Some embrace the idea and others are sent running to hide under the covers.

Cleansing is an important part of health maintenance, to say nothing of getting healthy in the first place. Our warm, moist bodies are a breeding ground for unwanted organisms under the best of conditions. Add a sedentary lifestyle and laughable dietary habits and those squatters are here to stay. Someone has to show them the door!

Here is an amazing fact that might help you to understand the significance of cleansing. There are more bacteria (1012) in a gram of stool than there are stars in the known universe. Regular elimination is crucial to overall health to control the level of toxins in the body. Constipation (less than 3 bowel movements per day) is actually a greater problem than most people and their doctors think. Hydration, diet, physical activity and stress all effect eliminative function.

Cleansing can prevent disease, clear the skin, slow the aging process, improve flexibility, aid in weight loss, improve fertility and increase energy levels, to say nothing of resting the organs and purifying the system.

The seasons of the year are times of change so it seems that they would be an appropriate time to change our environment on the inside, just as Mother Nature is making changes on the outside. Cleansings at these times of year have different purposes and requirements.

The two key times for natural cleansing are the times of transition into spring and autumn. These periods run from about ten days before and after each equinox or solstice. For spring, that means around March 10th through April 1st and for autumn, that means from about September 11th through October 2nd.

Fasting is one way to give all of your digestive organs a break but you can also do a juice fast where you drink diluted fruit juices, vegetable juices and broths that contain nutrients while still resting the digestive organs from their hardest work. Nutrition is always important and supplements become even more important.

CleanStart® has been improved with a much better tasting Wild Berry flavor along with the Apple Cinnamon flavor. It is a two-week cleansing program in a box! A brand new product, Liquid Cleanse contains no Psyllium so it doesn’t get thick or gritty like some fiber drinks. It does it all in a tangy drink of herbs like cinnamon, fennel, ginger, capsicum, barberry & cornsilk in a tangy red raspberry/lemon base. Don’t want a drink in your cleanse program? Then Tiao He Cleanse is the way to go. All capsules, you don’t have to taste the good health on the way down!

Not up for a “real” cleanse? Everybody’s Fiber is the answer to clean up your digestive tract with a non-psyllium fiber drink. Flax, Pectin, Peppermint and Una de Gato soothe and cleanse in a great tasting peach, plum and apricot flavored drink.

Always supplement after cleansing because you need to rebuild the nutrients that may have been eliminated along with the toxins. Colloidal Minerals is always a good way to get back up to form. Trace Mineral Maintenance is another good choice.

You’ve run out of excuses and there is still plenty of time to plan for the Autumn Cleanse that will improve the rest of your days. Make it a bi-annual routine.
