Heads of State and Coaches Falling 11-9-2011
The Planets are lining up with some heavy hitters, Saturn is aligned with the star Spica, the grasses held in the hand of the Virgin. Mars is aligned with the Royal Star Regulus, the heart of the Lion, and Mars and Venus are conjunct and aligned with Antares, the giant, red heart of the Scorpion. This collection of conjunctions by itself would be enough, but Uranus, the revolutionary, sitting at one degree Aries is turning things upside down and toppling famous figures or personalities (the province of Aries).
The President of Greece and Italy are both stepping down, Penn State's ionic coach is stepping down. The former Governor or New Jersey, who returned to the stock market and immediately committed all of the mistakes that he once railed against stepped down. Michael Jackson's Doctor turned out to be his killer, and took a long fall from grace.
Students are in the streets in London about to link up with the Occupy movement, enraged over tuition. In Berkeley Occupy protestors are taking up the same banner as Cal State prepares to raise tuition and cut services and jobs. Washington DC are awash with protestors as is NYC.
The connection of these planets to the Fixed Stars adds the stuff of legends, history books, and a good story to the usual hubbub. The alignments to Regulus connect it to the Kings, and Uranus makes them stumble. The continuing disconnect between Jupiter and Saturn, in a Quincunx by sign (although both are ruled by the two polarities of Venus) explains the continuing political and financial impasse that the western world is experiencing.
